Actor Refutes Anti-Vaccine Views After Lending His Voice To Disputed Pandemic Documentary
The "Taken" star has provided his vocal talents to a recent film that questions the legitimacy of immunizations and praises ex- health official RFK Jr.
The Documentary's Provocative Basis
Named "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a well-known publication written by a disgraced researcher, who gained notoriety during the global outbreak for allegations that Covid was linked to a problematic version of the influenza shot.
The book's writing partner, a producer, has previously authored books with conspiracy-prone media personality a known commentator. The producer recently posted celebrating Neeson's role in the film.
A Strong Denial
The team of Liam Neeson have provided a comment strongly denying suggestions that he subscribes to anti-immunization views.
"We all recognize that unethical practices can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that must not be equated to rejection of vaccines," the response states. "Neeson has never been, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with the global charity underscores his consistent support for public-health initiatives."
The statement continued that the star had no hand in the project's narrative and that questions about its claims are best addressed to the creators.
Key Claims Within the Documentary
According to the documentary, the narration spoken by Neeson includes several provocative claims:
- It states that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to public institutions.
- It argues that "science has become dangerously influenced by politics."
- Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured claiming, "The major issue with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
- The film further attacks pandemic restrictions, saying they caused mental anguish that resulted in thousands of lives.
- Regarding Covid vaccines, it cites a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "risky trials."
Past Context and Ongoing Debates
The film also references a past television report about clinical trials on children, which was afterwards the focus of a formal apology by the corporation for violations of guidelines.
In recent weeks, the political figure instructed the CDC to alter its longstanding position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism. This assertion is echoed in the film, contrary to a new report from the global health body confirming no evidence has been found.
An Earlier Statement of Support
Contrasting the film's tone, Neeson has formerly expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a Unicef global ambassador.
Previously, he called vaccines as "an incredible human success story," stating that "The debate about vaccines in recent years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."
The documentary concludes with Neeson's narration stating, "This marks not the conclusion of our journey. It is the beginning of a fresh chapter."
